True events inspire the movie. A house built by Sara Winchester, 50 miles outside of San Francisco, California. The home was constructed working 24 hours a day, seven days a week for decades. The house is seven stories tall and contains over a hundred rooms. Why does Sarah need all those rooms? Maybe for all the souls who were killed by the Winchester repeating rifle?

The movie is based on the Southern Reach Trilogy, by Jeff Vandermeer. Annihilation is the first book of the three-part series. All three books together form Area X.

Lara Croft is back in action with a revamped look. Her father disappears while she was a teenager. Now, 21-year-old, Lara has no focus or purpose in life, living in London as a bike courier and student, trying to make ends meet and make it to classes on time. She succumbs to needing to know what happened to her father and sets out to his last-known destination, an island off the coast of Japan.

8 – Ready Player One

Based off Ernest Cline’s novel of the same name, the creator of the virtual reality OASIS dies, he releases a challenge to the users to find the Easter Egg that will gain the lucky winner his fortune. They take steps to eliminate any noise, but when the children accidentally make noise, all hell breaks loose, and the family must do what it takes to survive.
