Sonic The Hedgehog has been huge in recent weeks for all the wrong reasons.

That’s not to say that he wasn’t already a hugely beloved character in pop-culture to begin with, but after the recent trailer made its way online, fans have been displeased with the adaption, to say the least.

But forget that, we’re here to talk about another Sonic adaptation that will certainly do the franchise justice. A new burger has been created for gaming lovers by BosozokuHQ (located on Chapel Street) that is sure to make SEGA fans, and even non-fans, salivate.

What’s in the Sonic The Egg Hog burger?

A delightfully blue brioche bun is just the icing on the cake. How can we forget the quarter pounder of freshly ground, seasoned and seared Wagyu beef, topped off with Canadian maple streaky bacon and melted cheese?

If that isn’t enough to make you embark on this multi-level flavourful journey, the egg yolk, beetroot mustard and relish will certainly do the trick.

And what’s Sonic without his golden rings, or more specifically, the golden onion rings?

Jokes aside, this is the burger that keeps on giving. It’s a gorgeous concoction put together with as much heart and fun as fans have with the Sonic franchise.

What else is there at the Chapel Champions’ Award?

In case you weren’t aware, Chapel Street Precinct Association [CSPA] recently announced the inaugural Chapel Champion Awards, where the public vote on some of the world-class businesses that the Chapel Street Precinct has to offer.

Of course, the Precinct is well-known in Melbourne for being one of the best locations in town for shopping, food, bars, you name it.

Renowned for its bustling livelihood, Chapel Street is the place to be.

In 2019, there are categories for various awards, including Champion Entertainment Service, Champion Cafe, and of course, Champion Burger Joint.

And while you’re in the area checking out the Sonic The Egg Hog burger, why not try out some more burgers that Chapel Street has to offer? They have Australia’s most alcoholic burger, Australia’s tallest burger (appropriately titled The Hectic) and a Game of Thrones inspired burger for everybody to survive the coming winter.

So what are you waiting for? You ‘gotta go fast’ down to Chapel Street now!
