The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and where to find them will be premiering in November, 2018 and we can’t wait any longer.

Since the sequel is named ‘Crimes of Grindelwald‘, it’s obviously going to focus a lot on Grindelwald and his past. But there’s going to be a huge focus on the Fantastic Beasts themselves of course.

Which beasts can we hope to see in Fantastic Beasts 2?

The movie will bring back plenty of familiar characters and Rowling shall take us back once more to the magical world which had all of us engulfed in its thrill. Some of the beasts which appeared in the first installation shall be back too.

The Niffler, a kleptomaniac who can’t take his eyes off anything shiny shall be back on the screen. Not to mention Pickett, the sentimental bowtruckle with the ability to pick any lock it gets its hands on.

On a recent interview, Oscar winning actor Eddie Redmayne remarked, “There’s a Chinese creature that’s formidable. There are some of the old favourites: The Niffler is back and causing havoc. As is Pickett.”

The Chinese creature we’ve previously seen was a Chinese Fireball.  Could it be making a return? Let’s hope not for Newt’s sake. After all, who wants a dragon in their suitcase?

The movie won’t focus on the beasts, but on Grindelwald

The sequel won’t focus on the beasts like it did with the first one. Think, the first movie, but with the same amount of beasts, and more Grindelwald. Redmayne confirmed this; “There are as many beasts in the film as in the first. But the main driver in the first film was finding the beasts. That’s not the driver in this film, it’s not a central part of the plot. But beasts feature in the film and feature strongly.”

Which of the beasts would you like to see in the sequel?
