The AFL Evolution trailer is finally here, and the release date is on the 5th of May

The 2013 version was a disappointment for most fans and perhaps was used mostly as a bit of fun rather than being taken seriously as a sports video-game.

Okay, first up, it’s worth noting that in this game you will have your own and improved Player Creator tool. So, finally you’ll get to place yourself in the action as you always would have been before that little ankle knock that prevented you from becoming a footy star. You know, that one you always tell your mates about.

The AFL Evolution game gives you access to over 80 teams from the AFL, VFL, TAC Cup. There’s a lot of options available so whoever you support you should be able to represent. It also allows you to play as anyone from the NAB Under-18s Championships and also the International Cup.

On top of this you also get access to bonus teams such as the Indigenous All Stars presumably after showing off your skills and gaming abilities.

The Career Mode of AFL Evolution works in a similar way to FIFA and NBA2K.

It allows you to build your career from the ground up right from the TAC Cup all the way to the Grand Final. Or, you can just casually jump straight into the elite level.

Wicked Witch Software are are the developers behind the latest version of the game (which debuted in 1991). It’s available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
