The dinosaurs are back in town to give the humans another run around.
This time the Isla Nublar is a ticking time bomb, literally about to explode. Subsequently, a group – including everybody’s favourite Raptor specialist Owen (Chris Pratt) – is sent in to help retrieve select species to save them from extinction (again).
This chapter purely exists to bridge the gap between this film and an obvious follow up that we all dinosaur coming.
It wrestles with being a disaster movie and a house of horrors – sometimes in the same scene. Despite its flaws, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom takes huge risks, including a mother of a third act twist that will leave more than just the die hards clamouring for its sequel.
Verdict: Falls somewhere between Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World in terms of quality.
