The following article contains spoilers for The Bad Batch episode 10: Common Ground.
Having rescued Omega from Cad Bane and Fennec Shand’s clutches, The Bad Batch return to see Cid on Ord Mantell. She has a job for them, but Omega gets left behind on this occasion. Hunter thinks she needs time to recover after her traumatic ordeal with the bounty hunters, but she surprises them whilst they’re gone.
Empire Occupation on Raxus
We see what’s happening on planets as the Empire cements its rule. On Raxus, Captain Bragg promises fair treatment for all ex-Separatist loyalists in exchange for their compliance. She points out that this has not been forthcoming on Raxus and calls on their Senator, Avi Singh, to echo her message.
Singh whispers his hesitations to his droid GS-8 and tells her to follow his instructions if anything happens to him. Whilst his speech starts in support of the Empire, he realises that he needs to do what is best for his people. He states that he can no longer condone the unjust occupation. As a result, he’s arrested whilst his droid slips away unnoticed and sends a message asking for assistance.

Trust Issues
Cid gives The Bad Batch their mission: to rescue Senator Singh on Raxus. Tech is quick to point out that the planet used to be the centre of the Separatist government. The team initially refuse the mission because they don’t agree with helping a Separatist. Cid is quick to remind them that they still owe her a debt and that a job is a job. Hunter takes her aside and tells her that he doesn’t want to take Omega to a planet under Empire occupation. She agrees to look after her whilst they go.
As the team approach the planet surface , Echo in particular is still hesitant about helping a Separatist. Hunter and Tech insist that they need to put politics aside and remember that this is just a job. They meet up with Senator Singh’s droid and get on their way.

A Mood Boost
Having been left with Cid, Omega finds herself feeling down. Cid gives her a heavy-handed pep talk, saying that if she wasn’t so helpless she wouldn’t be left behind on missions.
Later, whilst she’s scrubbing the bar, Omega watches Cid play Dejarik. She offers her help with strategy and wins the game for Cid, who then spins Omega’s skill into a money making scheme. Having learnt enough about Cid, Omega is quick to ask what her cut is. She then negotiates 60% of the takings rather than the 30% she was first offered.

A Daring Rescue
Back on Raxus, The Bad Batch follow GS-8 to where Singh is being held captive. Tech scans the area, but both Echo and Wrecker are wary of it being a trap. They make their way into the compound, knocking out a few clone troopers along the way. Tech taps into the security system.
Once inside, they split into two team. Hunter and Tech going with GS-8 and Wrecker going with Echo. When sharing his plan, Hunter accidentally includes Omega, realising that he’s gotten used to having her around.
Whilst being interrogated, Senator Singh states again that he won’t be a puppet for the Empire and condemn his people to their rule. With the interrogator droid approaching, Hunter and Tech arrive just in time. They stun the clone troopers and Captain Bragg and release the Senator.

An Even More Daring Escape
Tech gets wind that the Empire is onto them, which makes escaping harder. Now reunited with Echo and Wrecker, the team plans to seize a Walker and blast their way out of the city. They don’t make it far before taking a hit from another Walker. Tech and Echo work to get their Walker back online whilst Wrecker and Hunter hold off the troopers.
Once they’re back on the move they devise a plan to make the Empire lose their trail. The Bad Batch are forced to trust Senator Singh as he directs them down an alleyway that will seemingly trap them. However, there is a subterranian passage hidden behind a wall. Wrecker is happy to volunteer himself to blow up the wall.
The Empire destroys the Walker but find no bodies. Wrecker also collapses the tunnel behind them, meaning that their escape is covered.

Another Happy Landing
The Bad Batch successfully get Senator Singh off world, despite his apprehension to leave his people. Echo, who seems to have put Singh’s Separatise past behind him, reminds him that escaping means he can live to fight another day.
They arrive back on Ord Mantell and find people rushing into Cid’s Palor. Inside, they find Omega in the middle of a Dejarik tournament with the crowd cheering her on. Whilst Wrecker praises Omega’s strategy skills, Hunter is initially frustrated that she didn’t keep a low profile like he asked. Cid points out that she used her winnings to pay off their debt and that he should be more grateful. She then goes to settle Singh’s payment and the rest of the team leave Hunter and Omega to talk.
He challenges Omega to one game of Dejarik. If she wins, there’s no more sitting out on missions. It’s left open-ended about who wins, but I think we can safely assume that Omega won’t be left behind for any missions in the future.
